AAA Condemns ‘Intimidation’ Between Trump, Musk – Breaking News

Date:

The powerful American auto union, the United Auto Workers (UAW), announced that it has filed a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) against Donald Trump and Tesla for attempting to threaten and intimidate workers.

The UAW is rallying behind Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and has encouraged nearly 400,000 workers to vote for her. The union could play a decisive role in this US election, especially in swing states like Michigan, which are essential to winning in November. In its complaint, the UAW specifically pointed to an exchange between the businessman and Elon Musk during their conversation that was broadcast live yesterday on Channel X. The former US president praised Musk, who is known for his intolerance, saying, “You are a great head-chopper.” The Tesla CEO did not respond and simply laughed, which could make it more difficult for the NLRB to take action. The UAW said in a statement that under US federal law, workers cannot be fired for striking, and threatening to do so is illegal under the National Labor Relations Act.

Tim Walz made his first solo outing in Los Angeles, speaking to one of America’s most important unions, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. “The vice president and I know exactly who built this country: nurses, teachers, state and local government employees,” the Democratic vice presidential candidate said, echoing Joe Biden’s typical dictum: “When unions are strong, America is strong.” The 60-year-old Minnesota governor then attacked his rivals Donald Trump and J.D. Vance, accusing them of wanting to “exploit workers for personal gain.” The former high school football coach and teacher then took a dig at moderate Republicans, recalling that he was “the first union member to run for president since Ronald Reagan.”
