WhatsApp continues to integrate new features into its central messaging app, with the latest addition being the ability to “like” a person’s status, private mentions, and the ability to re-share a status they mentioned you in.
With status likes, you can let someone know that we are thinking about them or that we like their status. Status likes are private and don’t count, so only the person who posted the status can see them in the view list.
With private tags, you can ensure that the people closest to you see your status and reshare it with their audience by tagging them privately. When this is done, they receive a special notification and the signal does not appear in our case.
These new features will soon be available to users globally. The developers report that they will be adding more features to the Status and Updates tab in the coming months to “make staying in touch with important people even easier.”
Among the new features that have recently been integrated into WhatsApp are filters and backgrounds for video calls that can be combined with a wide range of options.
